Will Ashland Outsmart the Newmans on The Young and the Restless?

The last time Ashland Locke tried to change his mind about doing business with Victor Newman on The Young and the Restless, Victor threatened to let Ashland die from a heart attack unless he got his way.

Victor (Eric Braeden) assumed he would always get the best of Ashland (Robert Newman) whenever they went head to head because, well, Victor was just that good. Y&R: Short Term Victory

It was almost a tie, but 46% of you managed to squeak out a victory by predicting that Ashland may win this battle…but he will ultimately lose the war. Sure, he managed to merge his company with Victor’s and even get back the media empire Victor extorted from him with that death threat business. But now that Victor is on to him, he will come up with something even more clever to checkmate the upstart. Of course, if worse comes to worst, he can always threaten to kill him again. Victor is class that way.

The Young and the Restless: Over and Out

An almost equal 45%, on the other hand, don’t think Ashland will even get that far. It is physically impossible to outsmart Victor Newman. Full stop. Victor will bellow, and manipulate, and announce that he’s done something incredibly clever. Then, next thing you know, Ashland will be slinking out of town, crying like a toddler, while Victor will be explaining to Victoria Newman Locke (Amelia Heinle) how he did it all for her.

Only 9% figure Ashland has been two steps ahead of Victor this whole time, he’ll manage to keep doing it even now that Victor knows the truth about his South American clinic. It will make Victoria love him even more!
