Try Again: Do You Want Jack With Phyllis on The Young and the Restless?

A few weeks ago on The Young and the Restless, Phyllis Summers seriously friend-zoned ex-husband Jack Abbott after he suddenly decided he was madly in love with Phyllis again. Then, what felt like a few days later, she was suddenly sniffling to Amanda Sinclair about how she made a terrible mistake and now Jack doesn’t want her, boo-hoo.

Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) made sure to cling to Jack (Peter Bergman) as he dealt with the death of his son, Keemo Volien, the meeting with his unknown granddaughter, Allie Nguyen, and learning that another ex, Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters), was still alive. Which leads us to wonder, do you want this couple to give it another shot?

Y&R Perfection Itself

Of course, 68% cheer, they make the perfect pairing. Phyllis goes off on rampages, and Jack supports her. Phyllis tells Jack what to think and how to feel, and Jack goes along with it. Phyllis crooks her little finger, and Jack comes running — no matter how many times she kicks him to the curb. What woman wouldn’t want such a relationship!

Pack Up Young and the Restless Style

A much smaller 23% believes this hook-up will go the way of all the other ones — a major disaster. Phyllis has broken Jack’s heart too many times, which means they have way too much baggage to ever overcome. Plus, their kids are married to each other. Them making it legal, too, would lead to a way, way too convoluted family tree.

The Other Y&R Woman

It depends on what happens with Diane, 9% of the audience cautions. She’s the major spoiler here. Phyllis can go bug-eyed and scream at her over and over again, but Diane has made it clear she isn’t budging. If she’s here not just for Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor), but for Jack, too, then Phyllis may not be able to stand the heat.
