No sooner had Lily assured Daniel that she would do anything she needed to help him reunite with Heather on The Young and the Restless, then Heather told Daniel that she’s met someone else. How convenient for everyone! Now Daniel doesn’t have to be the bad guy! But do you actually want to see him back together with his teenage love?
The Young and the Restless Polling: Whatever
Not really, 16% of you shrug. He’s been for so long, we don’t really care anymore. And Lily (Christel Khalil) just got out of a dysfunctional relationship with a whiny man-child named Billy (Jason Thompson). Who needs a rerun?
Y&R: Family Man
Exactly 20% of the audience would like to see Daniel patch things up with Heather (Vail Bloom). Not because you think it would make an exciting story, but because it’s what would be best for Lucy. Daniel has a lot to make up for with his daughter. Taking up with a new woman is not the optimal way to accomplish that.
The Young and the Restless: Tell Me a Story
As always, it depends on how everything plays out, 24% remind. If you can get a good story out of it, we’re all for it. But if it’s just Daniel moping, Lily fretting, and Lucy pouting, no thank you – we’ll pass. Is there more to be mined from Daniel and Lily’s story, or are their best days already behind them?
Connect Four
On the other hand, 40% remember the Lily and Daniel of earlier this century. They had a real connection. Lily even went on the run with Daniel when he was accused of driving the car that killed Sharon (Sharon Case) and Nick’s (Joshua Morrow) daughter, Cassie (Camryn Grimes). Once you’ve been through an experience that intense, nothing will ever come close. So they might as well see if they can reignite that old passion.
