Victor Newman hates Sally Spectra on The Young and the Restless. After all, how could Victor ever condone a nobody from nowhere climbing her way to the top using less than moral-means? Victor would never do such a thing.
Victor’s wife would never do such a thing. And Victor hates the idea of this social climber getting her claws into either of his sons. But will Sally’s pregnancy soften the ogre’s heart? What almost 2,000 fans expect to happen:
Victor (Eric Braeden) worships Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott), the mother of his favorite children. He is pleasant to Ashley (Eileen Davidson), the mother of the child he periodically forgets. He can even pretend to tolerate Phyllis (Michelle Stafford), with her being his granddaughter’s mother. And he gets to decide Chelsea’s (Melissa Claire Egan) fate because she’s his grandson’s mother. So once Sally enters the sorority, 13% figure Victor will live with her, as well.
Victor will wait for the baby to be born, assess its Newman qualities, and check out how much access Sally gives him to determine its future. If Sally performs like a good broodmare, Victor will eventually come around, 29% of the Young and the Restless fans predict. But only if she’s a good female.
A majority 58%, on the other hand, are confident that Victor will never trust Sally. Which means he will never accept her. This is the man who filed a court order to keep Nick (Joshua Morrow) from moving out of town with his son and backed Adam (Mark Grossman) when he tried to take Christian away from the only father he ever knew. Would it really be beyond Victor to decide neither Sally, nor Nick, nor Adam was good enough for his newest grandchild, and to take her away from them all?
