We thought that Phyllis Summers was an overbearing The Young and the Restless mom when she kept butting into daughter Summer and her husband, Kyle’s, marriage. But that was personal. Now, Phyllis is acting out professionally. Her son Daniel hired her to work for him, ane Phyllis thought that meant she was in charge of…everything.

Heck, no, 19% loudly object. Phyllis is the best thing that ever happened to Daniel and his little good-cheer video game. Daniel doesn’t know what he’s doing. Phyllis does. She is the best businesswoman in Genoa City. She always knows what she’s doing.

Sure, her son had to hire her because no one else would. Even Summer (Allison Lanier) couldn’t handle working with her mom for more than a few months. Summer just didn’t understand how brilliant Phyllis was. We can only hope Daniel will.

Young and the Restless: Meddle Muddle

Any other employee would have been fired for this, 38% point out, so Phyllis should be, too. She had no right to act on her own like this. Daniel is her boss, not her partner. And he’s her son, too. She needs to keep relations good between them. That’s the most important thing. Phyllis obviously cannot work with her children. She should quit trying.
