First, Mariah Copeland and Tessa Porter stalled on setting a date for their wedding on The Young and the Restless. Then they decided it needed to happen immediately! Then Mariah’s stepfather died — in the most undramatic way possible.
Young and the Restless Polling
The brides-to-be suggested postponing, but Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) wouldn’t hear of it. So we have a wedding scheduled for next week. Will it come together, or should they go ahead and pause the planning, no matter what Sharon says? The votes of almost 2,000 viewers:
Love Heals In Genoa City
It was almost a tie, but 28% of you pulled out a win for love conquers all, and a celebration of that is just what everybody needs to move past their grief over losing Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso).
Young and the Restless: Mother Knows Best
Then again, 27% of the audience admits they wouldn’t go through with it, but since Sharon is insisting, they probably should. She’s the biggest victim here — especially since Rey’s mother and siblings are being kept safely off-screen in Florida — and whatever makes her more comfortable should go.
Cast a Y&R Giant Shadow
Mariah (Camryn Grines) and Tessa (Cair Fairbanks) won’t be able to enjoy their big day with such a pall hanging over the proceedings, 21% fret. This is supposed to be about them and their love. Sure, it’s nice that they’re concerned about Sharon’s feelings, but they can’t sacrifice everything to make Mariah’s mother happy.
The Young and the Restless Show Must Go On
Rey wasn’t Mariah’s dad, 15% remind, and she didn’t grow up with him as a stepfather. Not to mention, he’ll likely be forgotten before Memorial Day (ironic, no?), so why should the women of the hour make any accommodations for him?
Too Soon For Y&R
Postpone, 9% insist. You haven’t had time to put together the wedding of your dreams, anyway, and no one is exactly in a party mood now. Give it a few weeks. Sharon should have another man by then. And then you can party your hearts out!
