Y&R’s Camryn Grimes & Cait Fairbanks Give Insight Into ‘Teriah’ Wedding

It’s just over a week until the wedding of Mariah Copeland and Tessa Porter on The Young and the Restless. Recently, portrayers Camryn Grimes and Cait Fairbanks gave a bit of insight into the historic LGBTQ+ union.

Grimes and Fairbanks spoke with ET Canada about their on-screen alter egos’ wedding, which is slated for Friday, May 13. Although there was some concern about holding the blessed event so soon after Mariah’s stepfather, Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) died, Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) insisted that the family could use a happy occasion to help with the grief of losing her husband.

Viewers probably remember that the duo, which is the first same-sex engagement for Y&R, decided to go with a great ’70s glam theme suggested by Mariah’s brother, Noah Newman (Rory Gibson). In their interview, you can see what appears to be a sneak peek of the fabulous wedding set in the background at what seems to be Top of the Tower, which might be a sight for sore eyes for some fans.

While Camryn Grimes and Cait Fairbanks didn’t give much insight into their characters’ rapidly approaching big day, they did give a hint of what lies ahead for the couple known as “Teriah” after they say “I do.” Sadly, fans of the duo may not be pleased to hear it because they noted that on a soap opera, happiness is the kiss of death, so don’t look for any big happily ever afters for these two. Perhaps, though, they’ll have a bit of happiness ‘for now’ time as they begin their adoption journey. Of course, Mariah and Tessa being treated similarly to every other couple on the show is exciting in itself for the actresses.
