Since leaving The Young and the Restless and the role of Summer Newman Abbott, actress Hunter King has kept busy with a slew of exciting new film projects this year.
Allison Lanier took over the role of Summer in Genoa City, freeing up King to pursue other projects. Earlier this year, she appeared in the romance, Hidden Gems, which she filmed in Hawaii.
Most recently, the actress had a fun new movie called Nikki and Nora Sister Sleuths, which debuted on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries. She starred with Rhiannon Fish, and the two developed a special relationship during filming.
Recently King shared a post about the film on her Instagram with a photo of herself and her co-star, which she captioned, “Made a movie and a bestie at the same time 💕 Nikki and Nora Sister Sleuths tonight on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries.”
Fish replied, “Oh my godddd, not Selena thinking I was talking to her 😢 I hated that split second of my life. I also hated that tiny room. I love you so much.” To which Hunter King wrote, “hated that tiny room so much but also kinda loved getting to be there with you three ❤️ love youuuuuuu”
In addition to these films, the fan favorite also provided voice work for the TV series, Hamster & Gretel. Additional films King is working on this year include Give Me Your Eyes, which is in post-production. She portrays Jael Jones in the Thriller, which is about an agoraphobic young woman who must remotely aid a mysterious girl who is being pursued by a pair of unstoppable killers.
Another fun movie King has coming is A Royal Corgi Christmas, which is a romance and a Hallmark Original Movie. It premiers on November 25, 2022, just in time for some holiday viewing.
Recently, King’s social media posts reveal that she’s been in Dublin, Ireland, with her boyfriend Andy McNeil, and it appears as if she filmed a movie there as well.
