Michelle Stafford thoroughly enjoys playing the scheming Phyllis on The Young and the Restless, which is evident in the glee she often exudes. She also loves sharing moments of her life with her fans on social media and has even created a line of skincare products. While applying makeup in a recent video, she also addressed how mean some fans can be.
On Instagram, Stafford posted a video and wrote, “Just an addendum to my last post…this is from my LIVE on @tiktok today. It’s a good thing that I don’t give one F@*k about anyone’s opinion ❤️❤️❤️ You shouldn’t either. #skinnationmakeup is launching THIS Monday!”
The video made her point about people’s opinions clear. While applying makeup she said, “I had this one person on Instagram tell me I needed plastic surgery. I had another person tell me I had too much plastic surgery. I’m like, ‘alright.’” She explained that people’s opinions didn’t matter or affect her, and went back to putting her makeup on.
Stafford created a cosmetics company called Skin Nation in honor of her sister Janine, who battled stage-3 breast cancer. Believing that our various products are harmful to our bodies, she made her products all-natural and organic, free of any potential toxins. Her plant-based products also make them gluten-free, and her fans raved about the various cosmetic options available. (Learn more about Stafford’s skincare secrets.)
In response to her Instagram post, fellow soap star Finola Hughes (Anna, General Hospital) replied, “Um….. the brown palette!!! Yes please!!!”
Getting back to the topic of her detractors, one fan wrote, “Don’t let the haters dim your lights, gorgeous 😊💕💕💕.” And another summed things up with the poignant, “Yes, who cares! There will always be people like that. You look amazing! Love watching you on Y&R, love Skin Nation skin products, and can’t wait to try the makeup, perfume, oil…💕.”
