Trevor St. John, who plays the enigmatic Tucker McCall on The Young and the Restless, is taking on a new role. He’s starring in a new movie he also co-wrote and directed. Soap Hub has the details on the fan favorite’s exciting new role.
Trevor St. John: A Good Enough Day
St. John stars in A Good Enough Day. He plays shutterbug Tyler Hamilton, a man who has let his relationships drift away following the death of his son. As he faces his own mortality, he chooses to reach out to folks he’s ignored, including — and especially — his grown daughter. Tyler discovers that his daughter is in crisis, and his ignoring her has only made things worse.
A Good Enough Day is “a feature film that I co-wrote, directed, and acted in, and it’s a film that was born of a desire to make a movie that respects its audience’s emotional intelligence and intuition,” St. John says. “And we hope that when you see it, you’ll feel respected in that way and that you’ll be moved by it, and maybe it will cause you to reflect on your life and the love and loss that you’ve experienced.”
Josh Wingate co-stars in the film. He is familiar to soap fans for his turn as evil Carter, the man who raped Michael (Chad Duell) in prison.
St. John’s film is already receiving rave reviews from the actor’s Y&R co-stars. “I can’t even begin to say enough about the quality of work that was put into this film…” posted Bryton James (Devon). “Please use the link in my bio to check out an incredibly touching story, co-written, directed by, and starring my incredibly talented TV Dad.”
“I was deeply moved by this lovely film, and you will be too! Co-written and directed by and starring my friend and colleague [Trevor St. John],” posted Eileen Davidson on her Instagram account. Added Beth Maitland (Traci): “Cannot wait to see it!”
