Many daytime actors have found instances in life where their on-screen storyline matches real-life developments. General Hospital star Chad Duell is among those players in light of some recent personal news he shared.
Chad Duell Has Some Big News to Share
“Lil’ Duell coming September 2023.” Chad Duell posted on Instagram, “stay tuned.” In the post below, you can see Duell and girlfriend Luana Lucci, 24, pregnant, posing with a sign that reads, “Baby Duell Boy or Girl?” While Duell hasn’t officially stated the gender of the upcoming bundle of joy, there is a blue splatter on the poster in the post, so it appears that the couple is having a son.
On-screen, Duell’s character, Michael Corinthos, is father to son Wiley and newborn daughter Amelia Grace. Speaking of GH, the actor’s co-stars weighed in with congratulatory messages. “Woo hooo another Virgo !!! Congratulations Xoxoxox,” wrote Duell’s TV mom, Laura Wright (Carly). Replied Kirsten Storms (Maxie): “Agh!!!!! Congratulations.”

Coby Ryan McLaughlin, who had a reign of terror in Port Charles as Dawn of Day cult leader, Shiloh, wrote, “Congrats to you both!!” Sofia Mattsson shared, “Wohoooo!!! So exciting!!!”

Chad Duell Backstory
It’s unclear how long Duell and Lucci have been dating but on her Instagram, they were seen hanging out together last Halloween. On Duell’s Instagram page, he shared an image of himself and Lucci, which was taken at a wedding in November.
Previously, Duell was engaged to The Young and the Restless actress Courtney Hope (Sally Spectra). The two got married at a lavish gala in October 2021, but by the end of the year, it was reported that the two had not only split, and their union was never legally finalized.
