Bringing the late Katherine Chancellor’s son, Tucker McCall, back to The Young and the Restless meant recasting the pivotal role. Stephen Nicholas, who created the character, is currently playing Steve Johnson on Days of our Lives. Luckily, the soap landed a consummate pro in One Life to Live vet Trevor St. John.

Trevor St. John — Get To Know Him

Best known to daytime audiences for his 10-year run as Todd Manning/Victor Lord, Jr. on the former ABC soap, St. John segued to primetime. His most recent project was ABC primetime series Promised Land. He also held down a pivotal role in Patrick Wang’s independent films, In for Family and The Grief of Others.

1. He was born in Spokane, Washington. He was raised in the neighboring town of Orchard Prairie.

2. Music is St. John’s other love. He attended Whitworth University on a music scholarship. He plays the drums and, as a jazz percussionist, has accompanied musicians Gene Harris, Marshal Royal, Slide Hampton, and Bill Berry.

3. His first major acting role was opposite Glenn Close. He played David in the 1995 television movie  Serving in Silence: The Margarethe Cammermeyer Story. Close played the title character.

4. He made his film debut in the 1995 thriller, Crimson Tide, starring Gene Hackman and Denzel Washington. He had a small role. He’s credited as “Launcher” on IMDB.

5. St. John has been married to his wife, Sara, since 2000. They have one child, a son named Aidan, who was born in 2007.

6. In 2001, he founded Bioconstructs. The fitness company teaches biomechanics to fitness professionals.

7. He has a killer connection to The Bold and the Beautiful’s Tanner Novlan (Finn). Novlan played Gregory on Roswell, New Mexico, while St. John played his ruthless father, Air Force Master Sergeant Jesse Manes. St. John’s character ended up shot dead by his kindly son.
