As much as fans are enjoying classic episodes of The Young and the Restless, seeing new content with their favorites is helping them get through these tough times caused by the coronavirus pandemic production shutdown. The show’s official Twitter account has been great at coming up with new ideas to share with their followers.

The Young and the Restless At Home Quiz

There’s a new one out and it has each featured actor asking a question and then the next one answers. After that, they pose their own question. Michelle Stafford (Phyllis) starts things off by asking Jordi Vilasuso (Rey) a burning question that everyone has a strong opinion on — over or under for toilet paper!

It’s great to see the actor’s current looks — who is sporting a beard, a hat, sunglasses, etc. And it’s even better just to see the faces fans love like Peter Bergman (Jack), Melissa Claire Egan (Chelsea), Mishael Morgan (Amanda), Doug Davidson (Paul), that adorable real-life/reel-life couple Brytni Sarpy (Elena) and Bryton James (Devon), and many more.

You can watch the entire video below and see the performers we all miss seeing so much. The latest news has the cast returning to work on July 13. Soap Hub will be sure to keep you updated should anything change with that.

The Young and the Restless History

YR made its debut in 1973 and introduced more sexual undertones and younger characters to daytime soap operas. It has outlasted other soaps to become a mainstay for many households. Needless to say, four decades of storylines have kept viewers locked in and wanting more.

From Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) family machinations to Paul Williams’ (Doug Davidson) heroism to the adorable love story of Kyle (Michael Mealor) and Lola (Sasha Calle), YR knows how to entertain and keep fans coming back for more. Sadly, times are shifting and daytime soap operas are shrinking.

Bringing the Drama

It is one of only four remaining soap operas currently on the air. The other three daytime dramas include General Hospital (GH), Days of our Lives (DAYS), and The Bold and the Beautiful (BB). YR airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for air times.
