Real-life soap opera couple Scott Reeves and Melissa Reeves recently announced a brand new family addition to their growing brood.
The couple, who first met more than 30 years ago on Days of our Lives, share two children together, and now they’re grandparents to several grandchildren. That number grew by one more recently. Melissa took to Instagram to share the exciting grandbaby news with a sweet photo and an informative caption.
“We have been waiting for you precious buddy💙 Lawrence and Olivia welcomed our 4th grandson yesterday!!!! Abel Theodore Reeves Born July 14, 2022 at 6:45am. 8lbs 13oz. 21 inches long💙. Life is so beautiful 💙🙏🏻”
The couple’s friends, family, and former daytime co-stars chimed in with plenty of congratulations and well-wishes on their new grandchild.
Kristian Alfonso (Hope Brady, Days of our Lives/Beyond Salem) replied, “Oh my goodnesssssssss 😍😍😍Congratulations Larry &Olivia 🙏 Welcome to the world Abel 💫💫💫💫.”
“Congrats!!!👏👏❤️❤️,” wrote Tracey Bregman (Lauren Fenmore Baldwin, Y&R).
The Young and the Restless fans probably remember Scott Reeves from his stint as Ryan McNeil in Genoa City, while General Hospital fans knew him as Steven Lars Webber. Of course, he even took a turn on DAYS as Jake Hogansen, where he met his wife.
As for Melissa Reeves, daytime fans know her best as DAYS’ Jennifer Rose Horton Deveraux, but she also was part of the original cast of Santa Barbara as Jade Perkins. No doubt viewers would love to see these two back on daytime, but for now, they’re enjoying their growing family.
