The Young and the Restless cast and crew buried a time capsule at their studio complex on their 25th anniversary, which was recently opened as the soap kicked off its 50th celebration. Among its contents was a letter from the late Jeanne Cooper (ex-Katherine Chancellor), which Melody Thomas Scott (Nikki Newman) read aloud at a ceremony on the soap’s soundstage.
