Michael Graziadei’s character, Daniel Romalotti, on The Young and the Restless, has had some fascinating and compelling stories over the years. Now, Graziadei celebrates a major milestone, and fans couldn’t be happier.
He Took the Fans’ Hearts for Two Decades
It’s hard to believe that 20 years have passed since Michael Graziadei debuted as Daniel Romalotti in 2004 on Y&R, and fans have had the pleasure of watching him grow and mature over the years. Although he’s got a fun dad in pop star Danny Romalotti (Michael Damian), he’s had to deal with his meddling mother, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford), and still finds himself at the whim of her schemes.
On May 6, the show posted a picture of Graziadei on Instagram with the caption, “Swipe to go back to the beginning ❤️ It’s been 20 years since Michael Graziadei’s #YR debut!” When you do swipe the photo, the next one is from 2004 where he looked like just a wee lad. Co-stars including Bryton James (Devon), Lauralee Bell (Christine), Greg Rikaart (Kevin), and Tracey Bregman (Lauren) all showered him with congratulatory emojis.
The fans also shared their congratulations and love as one responded, “He needs to be on the show more often!!❤️👍🙂.” One follower also sent Graziadei some advice with the reply, “Congratulations on 20 years, Michael!! Keep up the good work! Ask your writers to pump up your storyline a notch or two of more Spicy tones!! ♥️♥️.”
The fans praised his acting and loved the pictures, as evinced by one who remembered when Graziadei had longer hair, writing, “Damn look at those locks 😍 I was so in love back then. Lol.”
Daniel’s recent storyline, in which he was developing a gaming platform, is unique among the soaps and brings with it a fresh take on the typical daytime drama. His love interests over the years have been water cooler fodder for ages, and fans certainly weren’t shy about stating who he should be paired with moving forward.
Soap Hub congratulates Michael Graziadei for his 20 years of portraying Daniel off and on, and we raise our glasses to 20 more!
