Despite their character’s significant issues with Adam and Chelsea cheating right now on The Young and the Restless, Melissa Claire Egan and Courtney Hope can enjoy each other behind the scenes. Recently, they shared a video illustrating that they can have real-life laughs off camera and were having an absolute blast.
Cut a Rug
After news that Adam (Mark Grossman) and Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) slept together finally came to light, Y&R stars Melissa Claire Eganand Courtney Hope (Sally) posted a fun video on Instagram, and wrote, “Bumping into your arch nemesis at your local coffee shop…☕️😏😒😉.”
The video clip depicted the two of them on the set of Crimson Lights’ exterior, where they backed into each other accidentally, paused for a second, then tapped their espresso mugs together and started dancing to a song called (conveniently enough) Espresso by Sabrina Carpenter. The two strutted their funky stuff in near-perfect synchronization, and the fans loved it as one responded, “This is so cute you guys did amazing, I love [yours] and Missy[‘s] friendships it’s everything. 😍❤️.” Costar Michelle Stafford (Phyllis) shared a barrage of emojis: “❤️❤️❤️❤️🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥,” to which Hope responded, “[Michelle Stafford] you ready to be in the next one 😋!”
Another costar, Melissa Ordway (Abby), wrote, “Love this!!!,” and even the show’s official page couldn’t help but respond with, “Obsessed with this 🙌👏.”
Soap World Loved It
Zuleyka Silver, who plays Audra on the show, also responded, “This turned out sooo good!! Servinggg 👏,” and Hope again threatened her with the reply, “[Zuleyka Silver] thanks for letting us dance outside your door 😂! Next time you’re joining us:)”
Allison Lanier (Summer) wrote, “I’m obsessed!!! Neeeeed to know how many takes yall did, but you can tell me irl 🤪💕,” with Hope giving her familiar response: “[Allison Lanier] 😂 a handful:)! You gotta join the next one!”
Across the soap world, other friends chimed in, as Patrika Darbo (Shirley Spectra, The Young and the Restless and B&B; ex-Nancy, Days of Our Lives) praised them with, “Y’all are amazing❤️🔥🔥.” And B&B’s Rebecca Budig (Taylor) threw in her two cents, saying, “Omg you’re amazing. I love you.”
