Jen Lilley, formerly Theresa on Days of our Lives, can be see tonight on the 31st Annual Movieguide Awards as her film, A Paris Christmas Waltz, is nominated. The actress chatted with Soap Hub on the pre-taped show’s red carpet last month. She also previewed a what could lead to a possible reunion with her DAYS pals.
Jen Lilley: Star Studded Night
“I love the Movieguide Awards,” Lilley enthused to Soap Hub. “I love uplifting TV. The movie I’m in — A Paris Christmas Waltz — is nominated!” The movie stars Lilley and leading man Matthew Morrison (ex-Adam, As the World Turns; GLEE). The dance-themed romantic tale is directed and written by Michael Damian (Danny, The Young and the Restless) and his wife, Janeen Damian.
“If you’re a parent like me and you’re always looking for the best movies with uplifting messages, look no further than the Movieguide Awards,” Lilley shared on Instagram.
Trevor Donovan (Jeremy, DAYS) and Danica McKellar (The Wonder Years) are cohosts of the Movieguide Awards. It’s a veritable Who’s Who of daytime at this year’s awards. Attendees include Jack Wagner (Frisco, General Hospital), Donna Mills (Abby, Knots Landing; Madeline, GH), Cameron Mathison (Drew, GH), Corbin Bernsen (Father Todd, Y&R), Lori Laughlin (Jody, Edge of Night) and more!
DAYS Reunion
Viewers will find out tonight if Lilley and A Paris Christmas Waltz walk away with an award, but that’s not the only accolade that Lilley might be celebrating in 2024. The actress is eligible for the Outstanding Guest Performer Daytime Emmy category courtesy of her visit to DAYS last year when she reprised Theresa. Lilley literally was a guest as her run was only a few weeks before she exited the show and Emily O’Brien (ex-Gwen) took over the role.
While the switcheroo left some scratching their heads, Lilley says she wouldn’t have missed going back to honor the late John Aniston (Victor) for anything in the world. “I love John Aniston,” she says. “I was so honored to go back and it was so nice to see everybody. DAYS is like my family.”
Should Lilley get a nod and attend the ceremony, she’ll reunite with DAYS pals who are also present for the big night. “I’m excited about the [Daytime] Emmys,” she says. “We’ll see what happens.”
