Portia’s baby shower is finally here on General Hospital. For a while there, life with the Ashfords and Robinsons was going smoothly. That is in the past. The spoilers for Tuesday, June 9, say that the shower will be a tense affair, which is unsurprising considering that Portia invited Jordan.

Key Takeaways

  • Portia’s baby shower becomes an uncomfortable gathering as the Curtis-Isaiah legal battle looms.
  • Cassius appears poised to make a major confession that could change everything.
  • Sidwell’s anger escalates, putting Lucas directly in his crosshairs.
  • Willow is blindsided, while Brook Lynn is apologetic.

Portia’s Tense Baby Shower

In GH’s weekly video preview, Curtis (Donnell Turner) and Jordan (Tanisha Harper) attend Portia’s baby shower. Portia (Brook Kerr) and Isaiah (Sawandi Wilson) are probably surprised that they actually showed up, given what’s going on right now. A courtroom clash is brewing that will pit Isaiah against Curtis.

And nobody wants a repeat of what happened at the Metro Court Hotel. Needless to say, Portia’s baby shower, which should be light, uplifting, and celebratory, will turn into a tense affair. It’ll be interesting to see how Jordan and Portia interact. The two had basically called a truce, which is a big reason why Portia invited Jordan.

But now that hell has broken loose in their family, the two women are on opposite sides of a legal battle. Jordan doesn’t like what happened between Curtis and Isaiah, but she will probably stand by her man. And that’s exactly what Portia’s doing, too. She told Curtis as much. Will this tense shower erupt in drama? Or can the two sides put aside their animosity to celebrate the joy of impending motherhood?

Fake Nathan Confesses

Cassius (Ryan Paevey) apparently makes a major confession. Now that Cullum (Andrew Cullum) kidnapped his mother to finish the weapon Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) had started for them, this major confession could mean Cassius tells his mother who he really is. That he has been letting her believe that he is Nathan when, in fact, Nathan is gone, and he is Cassius.

He kind of has to tell her at some point, right? Liesl (Kathleen Gati) is stuck in that room with Joss (Eden McCoy), who knows that the man pretending to be Nathan is really his twin. If she doesn’t hear the truth from him, it’ll even be worse. Although, come on, this will be an utterly painful truth for Obrecht to hear, if that’s what happens on Tuesday.

Sidwell is on the Warpath

Continuing on the villain front, Sidwell (Carlo Rota) is on the warpath, which is not entirely unexpected. He has a lot on his plate to be angry about. Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) is gone, and even though Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) improvised and grabbed Obrecht to replace her, it’s still maddening. He thinks that Pascal (Marc Forget) betrayed him.

And if he discovers that the incriminating photos/evidence he has that keep Sonny (Maurice Benard) and Laura (Genie Francis) in line are gone, then that might send him over the edge. In GH’s weekly preview, he ends up training a gun on Lucas (Van Hansis). So at some point this week, he may find out more than he bargained for. Let’s just hope he discovers that Cullum was the one who killed his son.

Willow is Shocked, While Brook Lynn is Apologetic

Elsewhere in Port Charles, Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) is blindsided. Even though she knows Kai (Jens Austin Astrup) and Trina (Tabyana Ali) know that she shot Drew (Cameron Mathison), she still doesn’t think that any of her secrets will be outed.

Maybe there’s someone else who blindsides her by telling her they know the truth about that night. Or it could involve the fact that Nina (Cynthia Watros) isn’t actually drugging Jack (Chris McKenna) anymore. Additionally, Michael (Rory Gibson) would love to blindside his ex-wife anyway he can. Which one of these scenarios actually happens on Tuesday?

Meanwhile, Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton), who will turn to Sonny for help at the end of this week, issues an apology. Does she finally come clean about driving away from the accident?
