If we’re to make assumptions about what’s going on in Genoa City right now, then we can deduce that Ian and Aunt Jordan have been out of prison for quite some time. After all, they’ve presumably been messing with Sharon and then Phyllis. This Young and the Restless story has been unfolding for months. It’s been a slow burn of murder, hallucinations, verbal attacks, and car accidents. According to Y&R’s Head Writer and Executive Producer Josh Griffith, chaos is what Jordan and Ian are here for.
Genoa City, aka Double Danger Zone
Sharon (Sharon Case) is about to turn herself in for murdering Heather (Vail Bloom), planting evidence with the attention of framing another person, and the attempted murder of Phyllis (Michelle Stafford). Also, moving the body, lying to the police, and probably a few other counts.
From here on out, just consider Genoa City a hotbed of crimes, multiple misdemeanors, a few felonies, and, of course, straight-up evildoings. Together, Ian Ward (Ray Wise) and Aunt Jordan will be a monumental pairing. In fact, recently, in Deadline, Griffith labeled them “a double dose of danger.”

The head writer then added an additional warning for the citizens of GC. He said that everyone in town “should be on high alert thanks to this intriguing alliance.”
Ian and Jordan have already made a chaotic and toxic mess of Sharon and Phyllis’s lives, not to mention the lives of their families. Who will fall to this intriguing alliance next? Victor Newman (Eric Braeden)? Or another poor soul who would simply be a tune-up to Victor and his formidable family?

Regardless of the madness and mayhem ex-cult leader Ian Ward and the always Crazy Aunt Jordan will inflict on GC residents, Griffith willingly admitted how happy he was for the two actors to be part of the team right now. “As a company, we are thrilled to welcome back the talented Ray Wise and Colleen Zenk to the canvas.”
