The Young and the Restless star Camryn Grimes reminisced about the time when she filmed Magic Mike. She cringed as she recounted one of the spiciest moments from the movie. Grimes admitted she had no idea what she was doing during that scene.
Magic Mike’s Birthday Girl
It’s hard to believe it’s been 12 years since the first Magic Mike movie. Most Y&R fans know her for her portrayal of Mariah Copeland and her late twin, Cassie Newman, but she was also the lucky birthday girl in that movie. She was the girl in the audience who got a lap dance from one of the hunks.
During her conversation with actress Kate Easton, Grimes shared some of the most embarrassing moments from the movie’s set. She was told that she was doing too much. It wasn’t as sexy and fun as it might’ve looked on the big screen.
“The camera does this cool thing. It’s on Alex’s [Pettyfer] face, pans down, and then flips up around.” Grimes told Easton. “And then you and Channing [Tatum] on the other side, making out on the couch.”
Grimes didn’t understand how that scene was going to unfold. When she read the script, she envisioned something else. She thought it was supposed to be “more graphic” in style. Director Stephen Soderbergh advised her. “You know, you don’t have to do that much,” Grimes laughed.
