Born on January 7, 1990, and raised in Van Nuys, California, the actress loves the ocean.

Coming from a large family isn’t easy, especially if you’re the oldest! Grimes was raised with brothers and sisters Dakota, Shelby, Tatum, Ryder, Piper, and Peyton.

8. Her First Television Role
Y&R wasn’t her TV debut show. For one episode, Grimes played the role of Lisa on the primetime show JAG.

7. She Started Acting at Seven
Grimes was a super adorable kid who landed her first big role the same year she started acting.

Aside from Y&R and JAG, Grimes also appeared of mega hits like ER, NCIS: Los Angeles, and The Mentalist.

Between 1998 to 2006, Grimes received two  Young Artist Award nominations and two YoungStar Awards nods. Although she didn’t win, Y&R fans argue that she should have.

2. Youngest Emmy Winner Ever
Grimes remains the youngest person ever to win a Daytime Emmy Award. Not only did she win in 2000, but she received her first nomination as the Outstanding Younger Actress in a Drama Series in 1998.

Soap fans often loathe doppelganger stories but were beyond thrilled to see Grimes return to Y&R even if she no longer played Cassie. Fans were so happy to have her back that no one cared that Cassie turned out to have a secret twin.
