Sonny (Maurice Benard) informs Ethan (Nathan Dean), “There’s only one problem. You.” It’s interesting that he said that, considering Ethan’s bringing him some intel, which is a bold stance to take when the man is literally handing over intel like a gift basket no one asked for. But if the info involves whatever Ric (Rick Hearst) has been up to with Ava (Maura West). Whatever happens, Ric will also be tested, so perhaps Ethan’s proposing that his biggest detractor be put under deeper scrutiny.

Speaking of which, Ric will ask Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst), “Do you wanna go away with me for the weekend?” Liz may very well be the one holding the mirror up to him when it matters, especially since she later turns around and makes a request of Laura (Genie Francis), which suggests she is already thinking a few steps ahead of whatever Ric thinks this little getaway is.

Elsewhere, Justine (Nazneen Contractor) inquires of Laura, “Are you asking me to bury this?” and Laura’s answer likely comes with that familiar blend of caution and calculation. With Curtis (Donnell Turner) already floating the idea that Isaiah (Sawandi Wilson) could be the other driver, this starts to feel less like a question of truth and more like a question of how quickly that truth should be handled, if at all.

Meanwhile, Jordan (Tanisha Harper) tells Curtis, “I just wish we knew who the other driver of that car was,” who answers, “I think I found him.” His theory about Isaiah may make sense on paper, but Jordan doesn’t come across as someone who is going to accept that without pushing back, especially when the stakes are this personal.

And then there’s Tracy (Jane Elliot), who shockingly advises Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton), “You turn yourself in.” Odds are that line was taken out of context.

It’s more likely that Tracy was laying out what would happen if BLQ confessed to what she thinks is her role in Jordan and Curtis’ accident.
