Danny’s Big Bombshell Shakes Up Phyllis And Christine On Y&R

Just when it seemed like Danny Romalotti was all in with Christine, things took a surprising turn on the Wednesday, February 7 episode of The Young and the Restless when Danny dropped a bombshell that changed everything for Phyllis and Christine.

This Means War

Danny (Michael Damian) and Christine (Lauralee Bell) had an awkward run-in at Crimson Lights. She was the hurt party since the last time they’d talked, she’d seen him kissing Phyllis (Michelle Stafford). For a bit, Danny seemed to be trying to smooth things over. However, Phyllis showed up, and she all but threw herself at Danny…her usual MO.

While Danny has been pretty good at setting firm boundaries with Phyllis (not that she followed any of them), this time he did something surprising. Danny set boundaries with both Phyllis AND Christine. Chris didn’t appreciate Danny lumping her in with Phyllis, but he blamed her for always taking Phyllis’s bait.

Ultimately, Danny told both women who were vying for his heart that he’d very much enjoyed his life away from Genoa City and the drama they’d created in fighting for him. He let both Christine and Phyllis know that he cared for them each…differently. He accused Phyllis of pushing too hard and Christine of trying to tell him he couldn’t be friends with his son’s mother. By the end of the episode, Danny left the coffee shop in disgust.

Phyllis and Christine weren’t through, though. Neither woman was willing to back down. Christine told Phyllis if she wanted a war, then she’d get a war, which Phyllis was all too happy to take her up on. “Gauntlet thrown,” Christine said. Indeed. Let the games begin!
