Genoa City has a secret weapon — and her name is Phyllis Summers. Don’t you dare be up to no good on The Young and the Restless and cross her path, because if you do — there is a 100% chance this hotel owner will bust you, and your life will never be the same.
No wonder Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) can skip town with the woman who tried to kill him and leave the Genoa City Police Department without its crackerjack detective or why Paul Williams (Doug Davidson) can stay missing for months or years at a time and the city crime rate doesn’t go up — Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) will solve that crime in no time flat.
Look at poor Tara Locke (Elizabeth Leiner), who had messed with people in the big pond of New York City and never got caught. But she messed with the wrong daughter — Summer Newman (Hunter King) — and it wasn’t long before Phyllis stalked her, somehow looked into her financials, swore she was going to get the goods and boy did she! She ran her daughter’s nemesis right back to the big city!
Ditto, that new Young and the Restless pain in the neck, Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope)! A flight to see old pal Eric Forrester (John McCook) in Los Angeles, a quick conversation, and then right back to town and Phyllis was armed with all the information she needed to turn Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and his son Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) against her in one fell swoop!
But the real proof in the pudding, so to speak, was today when she decided to help Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) look for the proverbial needle in a haystack — find a random man who died about 40 years ago, possibly the real Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi) from whom the current specimen stole his name.
Abby Sciuto herself from NCIS would be bowled over with the speed to which Phyllis narrowed down the search (and without access to the incredible armed services database to boot — what did she use — Dr. Google?!) to three men it could be — and you know it’s going to be one of them. Who needs the FBI, CIA, or a private detective? There is literally nothing Phyllis Summers can’t do these days. Just ask Nick and Jack!
