Y&R Friend In Deed: Chloe Mitchell Fisher Is the Best Friend Ever

The Young and the Restless is famous for its friendships. There was Kay Chancellor and Esther Valentine. There were Christine Blair and Nina Webster, not to mention Lily Winters and the late Colleen Carlton. Kyle and Mariah are pretty good pals these days. But she hasn’t exactly been supportive of him and Summer…pretty much ever. That’s why the Best Genoa City Friend of 2023 Award has to go to Chloe Mitchell Fisher. Here’s why.

Y&R: While All About You Are Losing Theirs

Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) hates Adam (Mark Grossman). As in, she tried to kill him. Several times. Chloe has a perfectly good reason for hating Adam. He was responsible for the death of her and Billy’s (Jason Thompson) daughter, Delia.

And yet, no matter how much Chloe hates Adam, she hasn’t let that get in the way of supporting Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan), whether Chelsea is in one of her I Hate Adam or her I Love Adam phases. Chloe also doesn’t hold his parentage against Connor (Judah Mackey). That’s tougher than it may sound.

Chloe Mitchell Fisher: Sorry Not Sorry

Chloe was even a good enough friend to feel guilty for not figuring out that Chelsea was spiraling out of control, and trying to help her. Chelsea set Chloe straight: None of that was her fault. Chelsea’s mental state is Chelsea’s responsibility, not Chloe’s. But that Chloe even thought to blame herself shows how devoted she is.

Next, Chloe headed over to Sally’s (Courtney Hope), where she, again, offered support, and consolation, and commiserated over the pain of losing your child. We’re sure the topic is triggering for Chloe. But she put her own feelings at bay to reach out to Sally. That’s a good friend. That’s a best friend. Genoa City would do well to follow Chloe’s lead!
