Victoria Newman has never had a lot of luck with men on The Young and the Restless. After the disastrous early marriage with an older guy who was almost her brother, Victoria’s biggest flaw has been in dating awfully, terribly immature men. Both JT and Billy were/are overgrown children. They both want their own way and throw tantrums when they don’t get it. And they certainly have no idea how to be a partner to a grown-up woman.

We suspect the main reason for Victoria’s (Amelia Heinle) attraction to Ashland (Robert Newman) was that he was a grown-up. And a lot like her dad. The good and the bad. Especially the bad.

You know who else is a lot like her dad? Nate (Sean Dominic). Yeah, Nate. After years of being a doctor dedicated to saving lives, Nate got in touch with his inner Victor (Eric Braeden). And he’s loving it. Like Victor, Nate doesn’t care who he throws under a bus as long as it gets him what he wants. How can Victoria resist that?

Y&R: Feed Me

Meanwhile, Nate is still technically in a relationship with a woman who calls him out on his bad behavior. Victoria doesn’t do that. Victoria cheers his underhanded schemes. Heck, Victoria initiates most of them. How can Nate resist that?

A Perfect Young and the Restless Fit For Victoria Newman

Making out at the office is always a bad idea. Victoria and Nate are lucky Audra knows how to knock. This is a Human Resources disaster. But it’s also more fun than either has been in a long time. We know they’re going to crash and burn. Both personally and professionally.

But, just in case it doesn’t happen — and even if it does — there is potential here for a long-term pairing that can become the next Victor and Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott). They see each other’s dark sides. And get off on it.
