Will Victor Use Kyle To Get His Way On The Young and the Restless?

Victor Newman has two objectives these days on The Young and the Restless: Drive Ashland Locke out of Victoria Newman’s life and drive Diane Jenkins out of town. And he’s got the perfect tool to accomplish both goals – Kyle Abbott.

Young and the Restless: Step One

First, Victor (Eric Braeden) showered Kyle (Michael Mealor) with compliments about what a great dad he is, then manipulated him into taking out a court order that would keep Ashland (Robert Newman) away from Harrison Locke (Kellen Enriquez). Emboldened by how easy that was, Victor then tried to do the same to convince Kyle he needed a court order against Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters), too.

Y&R: Line in the Sand

Kyle located his backbone long enough to insist no, he was going to keep seeing his mommy. Victor made a frowny face. But we could see the wheels turning in his head…especially when he snuck a look a Summer Newman Abbott (Allison Lanier).

Young and the Restless: Happy Wife, Happy Life

How long before Victor forces Kyle to see how unhappy his decision to maintain a relationship with Diane is making Summer. Summer has been such an exemplary wife to Kyle! Forget the blackmail. And the dumping him at the altar. Twice. Focus instead on how Summer so generously took in Kyle’s bastard son and dragged him halfway around the world so she could take her dream job! Summer is stepmother of the year!

Y&R: Fair Trade

And how does Kyle repay her?! By insisting on not cutting off contact with his mother, even though Summer has made it clear she’d really like it if he did.

Summer is too sweet and shy to tell Kyle how she really feels, but Victor is here to make it clear: Kyle not taking out a restraining order against Diane is making Kyle’s wife sads. Kyle doesn’t want to make Summer sads, does he? Victor can help him with that.
