Why Is Jill Foster Abbott So Chill About Abby And Devon On Y&R?

Jill was back on The Young and the Restless last week! Yay! Jill is going head-to-head with Mamie! Yay! Jill is talking about her checkered past with Katherine! Yay! Jill is hanging out with Devon and Abby. Uhm…what?

Jill Foster Abbott: That Was Then

Sure, Jill (Jess Walton) had no problems with either Abby (Melissa Ordway) or Devon (Bryton James) in the past. Devon is Neil’s (Kristoff St. John) son, whom Jill worked with for decades, and a favorite of Victor’s (Eric Braeden), whom Jill also worked with. More importantly, he is Katherine’s (Jeanne Cooper) grandson. Of course, Jill would have a soft spot for him.

As for Abby, Jill was very excited when Victor’s least remembered child wed Jill’s beloved grandson, and she was excited about her great-grandson, Dominic.

But then Abby cheated on Chance (Conner Floyd) — with Devon. And she sure seems to be going out of her way to replace Chance in Dominic’s life with biological papa, Devon — something that Abby signed a contract swearing would not happen.

Jill is not one to stand by while her family members are disrespected. Yeah, Abby and Devon are family. But not as much as Chance is.

Where the Anger, Jill Foster Abbott?

Jill dropped by the Chancellor mansion and told Abby to give Dom a kiss for her without reminding her that he was her great-grandson via Chance — remember Chance? And then she gushed about how wonderful it is that Dominic is growing up in Kay’s house without asking where Abby and Devon get off kicking the real Chancellor, Chance — remember Chance? — out of it.

Sure, it’s Kay’s house, which means Devon has a claim to it. But Kay got it from Phillip Chancellor Jr, the grandfather of Phillip Chancellor the 4th — Chance, remember Chance? — who he was named after. So it’s his house before it’s anyone else’s. Where did the snarky and petty Jill that we all love and miss go?
