In The Bold and the Beautiful recap for October 9, 2023, Deacon’s attempt to persuade Finn that all was well where Sheila was concerned crashed and burned.

In addition, RJ flirted up a storm with Luna, Brooke was more than pleased to hear someone else was on her side, and Finn sat poised to blow up Deacon’s spot. Now, let’s dig a little deeper into what exactly happened.
B&B Recap: Better Luck Next Time
Finn (Tanner Novlan) blanched at the very thought of Deacon (Sean Kanan) and Sheila (Kimberlin Brown) coupling up, prompting the pair to admit that the love match snuck up on them. Sheila cooed how much she appreciated having someone who loved her for herself, warts and all, and expressed hope that Finn could, eventually, do the same. Fat chance.
Instead of entertaining the idea, Finn yelled that if Sheila loved him, truly loved him, she’d leave before she cost him the one thing that he did love — his family with Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood).

Deacon said he truly and sincerely believes that Sheila has changed and swore that he’d make it his life’s mission to make damn sure she stayed on the straight and narrow. Barring that, he has a black belt in karate, so surely he could “control” Sheila.
Finn reminded Deacon that Hope (Annika Noelle) would never accept his decision. Deacon objected and argued that Hope could be convinced that redemption is possible. In fact, he’s living proof.
Once Finn left, Sheila and Deacon agreed that it was probably best that they hadn’t shared their engagement news. Next, they needed to tell Hope.

The Bold and the Beautiful Recap: Young Love
Over at Forrester Creations, RJ (Joshua Hoffman) perked teary-eyed Luna (Lisa Yamada) up though she continued to keep him in the dark regarding her emotional state.
Luna did, however, assure RJ that she does feel at home, safe, and comfortable at FC — and that it’s all thanks to him. RJ told Luna how beautiful and how special and magical and mysterious she was. Both agreed that they look forward to getting to know each other even better.
B&B Recap: Letting The Fish Out Of The Bag
Across the hall, Hope informed Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) that Finn had joined the Anti-Thomas brigade, and her mother, despite admitting that Steffy wouldn’t be too pleased with Finn’s opinion, welcomed the backup.
Hope called Finn, a “remarkable man,” a good doctor and listener, and she praised his insightfulness and kindness. “Steffy is lucky to have him as her husband,” she observed.
Soon after, Finn barreled into the office and asked to speak to Hope alone. He relayed how much they have in common, specifically their complicated relationships with family, and Hope agreed. Finn wondered if Hope knew the exact reason for his visit. You know, the one that involved his mother and his dad…
