Victor is the most successful mogul on The Young and the Restless, so he assumes that everyone is always out to get him. Even though he turned over running the company he built to his children, Victoria and Nicholas, he can’t help offering them bits of helpful advice about how to hold onto his baby. Victor may be paranoid. But, he’s also right: There are folks out to get him. Including two that he isn’t nearly as suspicious of as he should be.
In This Young and the Restless Corner
Nick (Joshua Morrow) is much more upset about Victoria (Amelia Heinle) sleeping with Nate (Sean Dominic) than Victor (Eric Braeden) is. Nick is worried about what it could mean for the company to have the chief executive officer in a relationship with an underling.
Victor, who has slept with many an employee over the years, doesn’t see it as a problem. And he doesn’t see Nate as a threat. The guy was a doctor a year ago. What does he know about the high-stakes world of…whatever it is Newman Enterprises produces.
In the Other Y&R Corner
Meanwhile, as a way to control his son Adam (Mark Grossman), Victor has given him another company to play with. Adam wants to take on Newman Media, but Victor isn’t worried. Either way, one of his kids will come out as the winner, and he’ll still be Father of the Year! But what if Adam isn’t the only one running the company these days? What if Audra (Zuleyka Silver), who once worked for Tucker (Trevor St. John), offers her services? In the boardroom…in the bedroom.
Young and the Restless: Tag Team
Adam is still mourning losing Sally (Courtney Hope). So why not drown his sorrows with Audra? It doesn’t mean anything, just a friends-with-benefits sort of thing. And they don’t even really have to be friends.
But what if this is all just a setup? Nate attacks from the Newman side, Audra attacks from the McCall Industries side, and together they wipe out the Newman siblings and take their places at the top of the heap. That, we suspect, Victor won’t like at all.
