The Young and the Restless Nate Hastings

It’s been lovely to see more of Nate Hastings on The Young and the Restless lately. Sure, he got fooled by Ashland Locke, but we’re glad he has at least a bit of a storyline for now. In the aftermath of his drama, though, Nate seems to be making a big mistake.

A Young and the Restless Mistake For Nate

It’s almost like Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) and Nate (Sean Dominic) are pretending that they never got into a surgeon career-ending (for Nate) fight over Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy). We know that they’ve made nice lately, and even Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) seems fine enough with Nate and Elena.

However, Nate buying the penthouse he inherited from Neil Winters (Kristoff St. John) back from Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) seems like asking for trouble. He’s clearly restless, but this move seems awfully sudden.

Given both Devon and Elena’s reactions to Nate’s sudden plans to return to the penthouse across the hall from his cousin, it’s pretty clear that the one-time couple has some concerns about living in such close proximity after all this time. It seems like they’ve managed to move on, but there’s still a spark between them. Neither Devon nor Elena seem entirely head over heels in love in their current situations.

Of course, the name of the game in soaps is drama, so perhaps Young and the Restless having these two couples in even closer proximity will bring more opportunities for some drama. Devon and Elena may start to spend more time together, especially alone while their partners are busy elsewhere. We predict that before everything is all said and done, though, Nate will regret living so close to Devon, and he may even regret working with his cousins too. While family is good, sometimes it might be too much.
