Lucy Romalotti showed up on The Young and the Restless to visit her estranged dad, Daniel Romalotti. Despite the fact that she’s only 13 years old, the teen has had quite an unusual life, which is par for the course on daytime.

Things have not been easy for Lucy (Lily Brooks O’Briant) during her 13 short years of life, and believe it or not, it started with her conception. Here are five facts about the newest teen in Genoa City.

1. Lucy is the daughter of Daisy Carter, which means that Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) is her grandmother. Her conception was not consensual because Daisy drugged Daniel (Michael Graziadei) and raped him.

2. Lucy was sold on the black market shortly after her birth. After a series of strange events, Daniel, who initially wanted nothing to do with her due to how she was conceived, ended up delivering Lucy on the side of the road on New Year’s Eve. However, Daisy knocked him out and stole her, abandoning her at the Church of the Sacred Heart.

3. Victoria (Amelia Heinle) and Billy ended up adopting her and giving her the name “Lucy.” Ultimately, Phyllis (Michelle Stafford), the girl’s paternal grandmother, uncovered that Lucy’s adoption was illegal, and Daniel proved paternity. However, he made the decision to allow Victoria and Billy to adopt her legally.

4. Ultimately, Daniel ended up leaving with his daughter in 2013, and with his partner, Heather (Vail Bloom) raised her in Georgia until things went south, and Heather and Lucy went to Portugal after Daniel went off the rails.

5. It’s unclear what Heather’s legal relationship to Lucy Romalotti is. Daniel and Heather never married, and so far, there’s been no mention of Heather adopting Lucy. It seems that Heather is Lucy’s mother figure, but she might not legally be the girl’s mother.
