The Young and the Restless viewers thought they knew which way life in Genoa City was going. Sharon Rosales was so wrapped up in the business of her children with Nicholas Newman, that she was neglecting her marriage to Rey Rosales.
The Young and the Restless: Is There A Chance?
Rey (Jordi Vilasuso), in the meantime, was getting awfully close to Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) — though it was all ostensibly in the interest of keeping precious Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) happy. Remember, nothing is more important than that!
Sharon (Sharon Case) even confronted Chelsea about her feelings for Rey, but Chelsea denied anything was going on between them. Viewers knew better. After all, we have access to Chelsea’s dreams in a way Sharon doesn’t. Now that Rey is dead, however, Chelsea is at loose ends again. What man will she attach herself to now?
Hey, Look Over There!
So the Chelsea and Rey pairing is off the table. And Adam Newman (Mark Grossman), Chelsea’s usual go-to, just melted when Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) told him she was falling in love with him.
Which makes him less vulnerable to Chelsea’s traditional manipulations. Chelsea’s other past marks, Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson), have other priorities. So who can she turn to?
The Young and the Restless: That Guy
Did you catch Chelsea and Chance Chancellor’s (Conner Floyd) scenes earlier? Chance was pleasant to Connor! I.E. he realizes that Chelsea’s child is the most incredible child who ever lived. Surely, more incredible that than whiny little brat Abby Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) keeps insisting is Chance’s son, even as she lets Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) bogart the boy.
There is nothing more attractive to Chelsea than a man who worships Connor the same way she does. It was her favorite part about Rey! As for Chance, we suspect he’ll like a woman who appreciates anything he does for her kid..rather than always pressuring him to do more. You know…like his wife.
