Young and the Restless: How Adam is To Blame for Sage’s Death

T
he drams on “The Young and the Restless”
exploded last week with the untimely death of Sage Newman.

As fans place blame and decide who’s really for Sage’s (Kelly Sullivan) death, we at Soap Hub took a look back at the events that led to that tragic day–and all signs point to Adam.

Yes, Adam Newman. We know, crazy right? But, hear us out.

Back in February, Adam (Justin Hartley) admitted to Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) that he was Christian’s real father. He switched the paternity tests so that Sage would get her way and be able to raise the child with Nick. To read a recap of that confession, click here.

In walks Sandra Allen, aka Dr. Anderson (Elizabeth Bogush). Her whole mission was to make Nick pay for what he did to her all those years ago and that’s why she stole Christian. She wanted to make the boy who broke her heart suffer like he’s never suffered before. If she had known the baby was Adam’s, she wouldn’t have taken the baby and given him to Sharon (Sharon Case).

What do you think? Post a comment!

One terrible decision by Adam is all it took to set this entire chain of events into motion. Because of him, Sage’s son was stolen, Sharon ended up with the baby, Dr. Anderson is dead, Patty (Stacy Haiduk) is locked up for life, Sage died, and Nick is in a world of pain.

Sure, Adam still has no idea that Sully is Christian, but Christian would never have been Sully if he hadn’t lied in the first place.

If Adam hadn’t switched the test results and had claimed his son from the beginning, chances are Sage would still be alive today achieving her lifelong dream of raising a child.

Let this be a lesson in honesty. One lie leads to another, that leads to another, that leads to another–until everything falls apart in the end.

Also, does anyone else think it’s time for Genoa City Memorial to get some sort of security system in place?
