It was a week that changed Genoa City forever. The “Young and the Restless Recaps” for April 25-29 highlight a week of shocking discoveries and a loss too tragic for words.

Romance was in the air for Kevin (Greg Rikaart) and Natalie (Mara McCaffray) which grated on Mariah’s (Camryn Grimes) nerves. The red-head started to feel like she was losing her best friend to another woman.

Kyle (Lachlan Buchanan) returned and tried to win back Summer (Hunter King). His plans don’t go his way, and Summer sends him packing. She’s starting to fall for Luca (Miles Gaston Villanueva) and wants to see what happens between them.

Victor (Eric Braeden) made sure his family knows that he’s lying in wait for the Newmans to implode. The worse off they are, the happier he is.

Victor’s concentration shifted to Dr. Gates (Alicia Coppola) and finding out everything he can about her. As it turns out, her dad is the head of the review board. Now, all Victor has to do is find a way to manipulate Gates into letting him out.

Ashley (Eileen Davidson) and Dr. Neville (Michael E. Knight) discovered that a patient nearly died in their medical trial and demanded that Hilary (Mishael Morgan) shut the project down. Out of spite, Hilary announced to the press that the trial ended because of mistakes Dr. Neville made.

Abby (Melissa Ordway) had a rough week and continued to mourn the loss of her daughter. Deep down she knows that Max (Jared Breeze) is to blame for her tragic fall and does everything she can to prove it. When she confronts the young man, the tables got turned, and she comes off as a crazy stepmother who’s terrorizing a child.

Sage (Kelly Sullivan) and Sharon (Sharon Case) finally discovered the truth about Sully. Sharon got the news in an envelope from a DNA test, and Sage learned at the same time when Nurse Stephens (Jill Lover) finally broke down and came clean.

Sharon panicked and tried to take off with Dylan (Steve Burton) and Faith (Alyvia Alyn Lind), but Sage was already on her way over to get back her child. When Sharon refused to hand Christian over, Sage took off to try to find Nick.

Sage made the tragic mistake of talking on her phone while driving. When she accidentally drops her cell, she takes her eyes off the road to find it and ends up careening off the road.

Sharon saw the accident happen and ran to Sage’s aid. She tries to keep her warm and comfortable and promises Sage she’ll tell the truth to Nick (Joshua Morrow) and give him the baby. Sage died holding Christian in her arms one last time. When help finally arrived it was already too late.
