Sean Kanan has announced his return as bad boy Deacon Sharpe to The Bold and the Beautiful. The actor first made his debut over 20 years ago and has been stirring up trouble ever since!
Just how bad has Deacon been? Check out these sins he’s committed over the last few decades in both Los Angeles and in Genoa City, the setting for The Young and the Restless where he spent a few years.
Rick offered Deacon $100,000 to give up his rights to his son, Eric Forrester III, whose mother was the late Becky (Marissa Tait) and was being raised by Rick and Amber (Adrienne Frantz). Upon realizing that the Forresters had deep pockets, Deacon started a bidding war for the rights to his baby boy before taking in the child himself, renaming him “little D.”
Bridget fell for Deacon’s bad boy appeal and he knew it! Hoping to further his place in life, Deacon seduced Bridget but he also wanted to let her family know just how in control he was. To that end, Deacon made sure Bridget’s family could hear their lovemaking via speakerphone while muting any protests they made by placing the receiver in a glass of water. (Why hit the mute button when risking electrocution is so much edgier?)
After Deacon and Bridget’s marriage hit the skids, Brooke fell for her son-in-law and couldn’t control her passion for him. She didn’t mean to hurt Bridget (Brooke never means to hurt anyone!) as Brooke and Deacon entered a passionate affair. Next, Brooke became pregnant with Hope (Annika Noelle), Deacon’s daughter! Deacon also had genuine feelings for Brooke but that didn’t make it hurt any less when Bridget learned the truth.
In 2009, Deacon migrated over to Genoa City where he reconnected with Amber but then got involved with Nikki Newman. He ended up going to jail for stealing evidence and obstructing justice related to the death of Diane Jenkins. Deacon truly cared about Nikki but, at the end of the day, these two alcoholics were not good for one another.
Quinn doesn’t have many fans among the Forresters and their friends but would some really shoot at her? Apparently, Deacon did and he went off to jail for trying to take her life. Was he really guilty of trying to take her out? After all, Sheila (Kimberlin Brown) was on the canvas at this time, too. Speaking of Sheila, Kanan has tagged Brown in his tweet (below) about returning to the show. Will these two be double trouble?
