Sean Kanan has been back on The Bold and the Beautiful as Deacon Sharpe for months, brought on to reconnect with his daughter, Hope, and stir up trouble for Brooke Logan Forrester and Ridge Forrester. But there’s one person his dubious character has yet to come face to face with and absolutely should have by now: his ex-wife Quinn Fuller Forrester.

The Bold and the Beautiful: Lovers Past

It’s the reconnection the soap has totally ignored but is begging to be explored. As longtime B&B fans will remember the pair once had a tumultuous relationship, as passionate as it was torrid. It led to the couple marrying in 2015. However, things ended in divorce, when Quinn (Rena Sofer) grew dissatisfied with Deacon’s lack of ambition. She even tried to kill him at one point, by pushing him off a cliff. However, Deacon survived and sought revenge against his wayward wife, ultimately landing in jail.

B&B: Friends Present?

While revving up a romance between the two characters seems highly unlikely – Quinn’s totally recommitted to Eric Forrester (John McCook), and Deacon is all consumed by Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) – there’s lots of unfinished business between the pair. It would be interesting to see a scene where they cross paths at Il Giardino; maybe even sit down and have chat. After all, the duo has lots to talk about; some good, some ugly, and some somewhere in between the two. Perhaps they could come to an understanding, make peace, and eventually become pals.

The Bold and the Beautiful: Stirring Things Up

Think of what a newfound Quinn/Deacon friendship could add to the already complicated story mix. Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) might not like her new BFF confiding in someone new and see Quinn as a threat. Eric might take issue with his wife getting chummy with the man behind the destruction of Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) and Brooke’s marriage.

It could even give Quinn and Brooke something to bond over if they both decide that Deacon truly is a changed man. The possibilities are endless. At the very least, B&B viewers deserve a scene that brings the Quinn and Deacon relationship full circle and into the present.
