The Bold and the Beautiful family is in mourning following the sudden and tragic death of Alley Mills’s (Pam) husband, Orson Bean, 91, who was killed while crossing the street in Venice, CA. on Friday night. Since then, BB stars have been posting messages of support for Mills, sharing treasured memories of their beloved co-star’s husband.

An Outpouring Of Love For Alley Mills

Bean had appeared in numerous films, television dramas, and game shows throughout his lengthy career. In 2016, he popped up on BB, briefly, playing the character of Howard.

Katherine Kelly Lang (Brooke), Scott Clifton (Liam), Don Diamont (Bill), Jacqueline MacInnes Wood (Steffy), BB Supervising Producer Casey Kasprzyk, and many others in the BB family shared memories of Bean on social media.

“Orson was such an amazing man! He was a brilliant actor!” posted Lang. “And sooo kind to everyone. Always so positive and energetic and charming. He still had so much life and love to give…I hope that you are happy up there dancing in heaven Orson! We will miss you. You are loved! And Alley, we are here for you always.”

“If you’re lucky in life, you meet one of those human beings so clearly operating on a different moral and intellectual level than the rest of us,” wrote Clifton. “Orson was one of them, and you knew it within seconds of shaking his hand. All my love to Alley Mills on this day of profound loss.”

“I so enjoyed every opportunity to chat with this man,” said Diamont. “He was so engaging, brilliant, funny, and warm. My heart breaks for our dear Alley. Every time I saw her I would ask, ‘How’s my hero?’ She couldn’t talk about her husband without smiling.”

“We lost a GREAT one last night,” wrote Wood. “Orson Bean was a magnificent man. Authentic, kind, always put a smile on my face. Please keep our dear friend Alley Mills in your prayers tonight. This is heartbreaking.”

“There will never be another person quite like Orson Bean,” wrote Kasprzyk. “His personality was larger than life, and his smile lit up the darkest corners of the room. I’m fortunate to have become his friend and it meant the world to me when he would compliment my work or give me career advice…I will miss you Orson. Rest easy.”
