After the news that a couple of actors will be leaving Days of our Lives, Mary Beth Evans revealed a few others, besides herself, who recently reported back to the production studios to shoot more episodes in Salem.
Mary Beth Evans Reveals A Few Returns
The actress who has played Kayla Brady Johnson on and off since 1986 took to Instagram to share a snap of herself with a couple of her close pals, hard at work to bring us all brand new episodes of the NBC soap.
“How lucky are we 33-34 years of friendship? #days #loveyouguys,” she wrote in a caption, alongside a photo of herself with Stephen Nichols (Steve/SteVano), Melissa Reeves (Jennifer), and Matthew Ashford (Jack). This comes on the heels of news that Reeves and Ashford will be losing onscreen son Casey Moss (JJ) shortly, and the show is also losing Galen Gering (Rafe).

Not to be outdone, co-star Nichols shared another cute video of himself with his co-star, celebrating the fact that they’re back at work and it’s absolutely adorable. Alongside it, he wrote the following caption, “I love you Mary Beth. Oh how I’ve missed you! #bestfriends #days #patchandkaylaforever #working @nbc.”

Of course, these new scenes they are shooting won’t be seen until the fall and even though they’re back at work, it’s not a guarantee about how long they are back. Gering returned simply to wrap up his storyline, but the fact that they’re posting happy messages certainly makes the outlook seem bright.
Currently, things aren’t looking so good for Steve as the essence of Stefano seems to have a hold of him. But for fans of the two actors, they will be sharing more scenes together, as SteVano finds himself in trouble and surprisingly turns to Kayla to help him through it. Will that bring out Steve?
