The Bold and the Beautiful’s Douglas has been through a lot in his life, losing his mother, Caroline, to a blood clot and finding out that he’s living with a father who has tried to play manipulative mind games with him! Off-screen, Douglas’s portrayer, Henry Joseph Samiri, has something to celebrate!
Henry Joseph Samiri Celebrates
The adorable BB scene-stealer is celebrating his birthday! “It’s my BIRTHDAY! 🎉🥳 I hope everyone is having their best day💙💙💙,” Samiri posted on Instagram along with the following hashtags: “#sevenyears #birthdayfun #summerdays #summerfun #hollywoodkids #younghollywood #youngactor #kidactor #blessedlife #douglasforrester #boldandbeautiful.”
The BB newcomcer joined the soap in 2019. His onscreen father, Thomas (Matthew Atkinson), brought his son home following the untimely death of his mother, Caroline (Linsey Godfrey). Thomas landed back in Los Angeles and immediately set his sights on a replacement for Caroline — Hope (Annika Noelle).
Thomas not only wanted Hope for a mate, but he wanted her to act as surrogate mother to Douglas. After Thomas discovered that Hope’s baby Beth was alive — and had been adopted by his sister Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) — he opted to stay silent, hoping to secure a future with Hope.
Douglas learned that truth and refused to be deterred from sharing the news, despite his father’s attempts at coercing his son into remaining silent. At first Douglas wasn’t believed, but when Liam (Scott Clifton) held little Phoebe, he realized that the child, in fact, was Beth.
Douglas was forced to step up again at his father’s wedding to Zoe (Kiara Barnes). Thomas was hoping Hope would interrupt the ceremony given her desire to raise Douglas. Thomas got his wish — sort of. Hope, in a wedding dress, holding a tuxedo-clad Douglas did stop the wedding, but Hope proceeded to expose Thomas’s lies and machinations.
Soap Hub congratulates Samiri on his birthday and wishes him many happy returns. The Bold and the Beautiful airs weekdays on CBS. Check local listings for air times.
