Hope was Douglas’ stepmother for a very brief period of time on The Bold and the Beautiful. She doesn’t want to be wed to Thomas, but she’d love nothing more than to take custody of his little boy!

The Bold and the Beautiful Poll: Mommy Hope
The majority of you, 65%, say that you want Hope (Annika Noelle) to raise Douglas. The little guy has quaked in fear when his dad gets angry. There’s no reason in the world a child should have to be afraid for their physical safety.
It’s one thing for Thomas to manipulate adults, but he’s scared his child more than once. He’s yelled at him. Hope is offering a more stable environment. The late Caroline (Linsey Godfrey) is Liam’s (Scott Clifton) cousin so, Douglas would be moving in with family in more ways than one if Hope and Liam take custody of Thomas’ son.
Daddy Dearest
The rest of The Bold and the Beautiful fans who voted, 35%, believe that Thomas should keep custody of his son. Sure, he’s made some mistakes but Douglas is his flesh and blood. Living with Hope and Liam is likely to come with lots and lots of rules. Strict bedtimes! Homework! Chores, possibly!

Staying with Thomas in the Forrester mansion may be much more preferable as far as Douglas is concerned. The young man is actually one of the few people who can reach his dad, reminding him that deep down he’s a good person (or so Douglas believes).
Shared Custody
Perhaps shared custody of Douglas between Thomas and Hope would be best. At the end of the day, Thomas is still treating his son like a weapon in his arsenal to get Hope back.
No child should have to go through that. Thomas may need to have supervised visits with his son — but we’re guessing Douglas doesn’t want to sever all ties with his pop. Stay tuned to see what happens next. The Bold and the Beautiful airs weekdays on CBS. Check local listings for air times.
