Time flies when you’re having fun and working hard. The Bold and the Beautiful was the first broadcast scripted series to return to production earlier this year, implementing new safety protocols in light of COVID-19. Recently, the show completed an impressive 100+ (!) episodes since getting back to work.

“Over 100 episodes in, and we are so happy to be back together on set with our #BoldandBeautiful family! 💙 Here’s a behind-the-scenes look at how we safely film all-new episodes of B&B. 🎬,” read the show’s tweet.
“I was very happy when I found out I’d be back in production, working with everyone,” says Annika Noelle (Hope). Scott Clifton (Liam) adds: “There were a lot of eyes on us because if we screwed this up, we screwed it up for everyone.”
“It’s such a brave move,” says Darin Brooks (Wyatt), applauding BB coming up with a plan to return to work in these uncertain times. It almost gives you hope in a way.” Adds Lawrence Saint-Victor (Carter): “We wear masks all the time. On scenes where they want [character interaction] to be a little closer, sometimes we are acting with dummies.”
“It’s great that we have our spouses and our partners to come on the set and do these loves scenes and kissing scenes,” says Katrina Bowden (Flo). Denise Richards, Flo’s mom Shauna, adds: “It’s actually really fun. I love having [my husband Cameron] on set.”
“It’s a challenge every day, which is really exciting,” says Jacqueline MacInnes Wood (Steffy). “You’ve got to bring it.”
“Zoe has a new love interest,” recapped Kiara Barnes (Zoe), referring to her new romance with Carter. (Or is she referring to Zende, played by BB newcomer Delon de Metz?) Either way, watch for Paris, played by BB newcomer Diamond White, to stir things up! “[Paris] is going to mess with Zoe’s life a little bit,” Diamond says.
“Sparks [have been] flying from the get-go, which is good,” says Tanner Novlan about his character Finn’s romance with Steffy. Jennifer Gareis (Donna) points out that her character was right all along in that Quinn was kind of “cray-cray.”
“Maybe you’ll see a bad side of Shauna as opposed to only seeing a bad side of Quinn? Who knows?” asks Rena Sofer (Quinn). Adds Wood: “I’m excited for the fans to see what’s coming up. We’re going to dive into some crazy stuff.”
“It’s a soap opera! That’s what it’s supposed to do,” says original cast member John McCook (Eric) with a smile. The Bold and the Beautiful airs weekdays on CBS. Check local listings for air times.
