The Bold and the Beautiful not only has the same families on it today that the show began with — the Forresters, the Logans, and the Spencers — but over the decades, they’ve added the Spectra gang, the Avants, and other characters, too.
The Bold and the Beautiful Polling
New characters are needed for shows to evolve. Is it time for BB to add some new players? Soap Hub posed this question to BB fans.
The More The Merrier
Nearly half of you, over 49% actually (but just under 50%) say that yes, you want new characters. Wouldn’t it be great to see Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) find a new guy?
Is there a man from Quinn’s (Rena Sofer) past who could threaten her marriage to Eric (John McCook)? Maybe Bill (Don Diamont) has another long-lost son? As long as new characters are tied to or make an impact on existing characters, they’ll be always be welcomed onto the canvas.
What Ever Happened To?
Over 1/3 of The Bold and the Beautiful fans, 36% to be exact, would like to see past characters return to tell new stories. What might the presence of Jackie Marone (Lesley-Anne Down) do to Eric and Quinn’s marriage? Felicia (Lesli Kay) would be another worthy adversary to Quinn. Thomas (Matthew Atkinson) could use the help of a good therapist so let’s see his mother Taylor (Hunter Tylo) return! So many choices. So little (air) time.
Everything “Bold” Is New Again
The rest of you, over 15%, say that things are fine the way they are. BB has plenty of characters on the canvas who don’t get enough air time. Maybe Charlie (Dick Christie) and Pam (Alley Mills) could finally get hitched? And if there’s one character who deserves some leading-man screen time, it’s Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor). The handsome attorney should be the groom at weddings — not the officiator!
Who will come onto BB next? Stay tuned to find out. The Bold and the Beautiful airs weekdays on CBS. Check local listings for air times.
