Fans of The Bold and the Beautiful star Tanner Novlan are very familiar with his interests because of his social media posts. He’s shared family trips to baseball and hockey games, and even recently revealed his need for speed, sharing images and videos from his trip to the Formula 1 race in Las Vegas. The busy actor also has a new Christmas film coming up and learned a few things while shooting it.

There’s a Dilemma to Be Solved

Novlan’s new project is a movie for Hallmark titled Debbie Macomber’s Joyful Mrs. Miracle, part of a film series adapted from the novels by Macomber. Mrs. Emily Merkle is a Mary Poppins-type character who helps folks with her magic. (If you say Merkle the right way, it sounds like “miracle.” Get it?)

In the film, three siblings are in a conundrum trying to decide which one of them will inherit their late grandmother’s estate, and it’s up to Mrs. Miracle and her Christmas magic to help them sort things out. Novlan spoke with Digital Journal about his new film and enthusiastically stated, “I am really excited for everyone to see it, and to check it out.”

Everyone Needs a Little Mrs. Miracle in Their Lives

Novlan explained what he gleaned from the story, remarking, “This script taught me that sometimes, the answers are closer than they appear…and all we maybe need is a little ‘Mrs. Miracle’ in our lives to see that.” He further noted that Mrs. Miracle adeptly extricates emotions from the problem to get to the heart of the matter, and does it well. “I like that [approach], so maybe I should practice that,” was the actor’s takeaway.

The movie premiered on Hallmark on Thanksgiving Day, and Novlan felt that was a very fitting debut date. He loved everything about the production, calling it “beautiful” and remarking, “It’s a Hallmark film so it always has the great twinkle lights behind, and it’s really magical.” Novlan plays a character named Austin, and of his co-star Rachel Boston, who plays the title character, he praised, “Rachel Boston is phenomenal as Mrs. Miracle.”
