The time has come to say goodbye…to the CBS Television City studio that has been home to The Bold and the Beautiful since its inception in 1987. CBS is redeveloping the property into smaller studios, causing shows like B&B to have to find a new home. And they did, as the soap will be setting up shop in the Sunset Las Palmas Studios in Hollywood, a historic studio complex known for its glitzy Hollywood roots. While the show promises to build bigger, better, and more glamorous sets, the cast and crew found the exit to be bittersweet.
The Final Curtain
Several B&B stars took to social media to say their goodbyes to the iconic studio, which was once home to shows like All in the Family and The Carol Burnett Show.
Lawrence Saint-Victor
Saint-Victor (Carter) shared several pics of him and the cast and crew on Instagram, as well as many exciting interior shots of the studio, one great outside shot of the building, and ended with a monitor that had “Studio 31 Wrapped” written on it.
He wrote, “CBS Television City has been home to The Bold and the Beautiful for 38 years — and my second home for the past 13. On Friday, we shot our last episode there. Stage 31 has been our creative playground, and saying goodbye was emotional. I still remember walking through those doors for the first time, being welcomed with open arms by the cast and crew, and getting some great advice from @johntmccook. This place has really taken care of us over the years, and I’ll always be grateful for that.”
The actor further noted that his dressing room used to belong to Rena Sofer (ex-Quinn), and it brought a tear to his eye along with the sad exit. However, he looked forward with enthusiasm, stating, “On to the next chapter.”
Kimberlin Brown
Brown (Sheila) shared a video on Instagram that also showed the monitor stating Studio 31 had wrapped. She wrote, “The end of an era. Today, we wrapped @boldandbeautifulcbs on stage 31 for the last time. Bittersweet for me, but I was blessed to work with such a talented, amazing group of people. On to the future. #sunsetlaspalmasstudios Here we go!”
In her video, Brown showed her dressing room and explained it was all packed up and ready to go. She took a breath and admitted that everything was officially done there, and described it as “bittersweet.”
She had also shared another post the day after filming was done at Television City. In it were several pics of her along with the cast and crew, with one pic with everyone that had “Our Last Day on Stage 31” overlaid on it.
Romy Park
Park (Poppy) wrote on Instagram, “After 38 years at Television City, The Bold and the Beautiful will be in a new home when shooting resumes. As I said goodbye to Stage 31, I couldn’t help but feel a pang of sadness, but it’s nothing compared to the bittersweet emotions our veterans must be feeling. Farewell, CBS Television City, hello new studio and new beginnings ♥️ last video is the final walk @boldandbeautifulcbs #gratitude
I’m looking forward to seeing the new place!”
She also had quite a few impressive photos and a video as she led the cast and crew out of the building for one final time.

Naomi Matsuda
Matsuda (Li) also shared a bunch of photos and videos of everyone lovingly enjoying their final moments there on Instagram. She captioned them, “Thank you, Television City, where legends spent many days shooting [and] creating the best shows over the years! Proud and honored to be a part of this space🙏.”
Casey Kasprzyk
And supervising producer, Casey Kasprzyk, had a very poignant Instagram post. First, he wrote, “Today marks the end of an era as we say goodbye to Television City’s Stage 31, and embrace a new adventure at Sunset Las Palmas Studios 🎉✨ As we sign off from the control booth… here’s to bold beginnings and beautiful memories! 🙌.”
Along with that was a video of him announcing to everyone over the loudspeaker, “Everyone, this is Casey. Before we wrap, I’d just like to say for 38 years, the Bell family chose Television City Stage 31 to be the home for The Bold and Beautiful, that has been the home for countless cast and crew members. During that time, 9620 episodes have been produced. None of that would have been accomplished without the dedication and commitment to excellence that everyone on Stage 31 brings day in and day out. Now our home at Television City is changing, but the show goes on. Thank you, everyone, and thank you, Stage 31. You taught me so much, I’ll miss you.”
At the end, it was revealed that Don Diamont (Bill) was recording Casperzyk’s final words. He looked at the camera and simply stated, “Wow.”
