Krista Allen Reveals B&B’s Stepping Up To Protect Actors From Bullying

There are few actors on soaps who have done more to interact with their fans and show their love than Bold and the Beautiful star Krista Allen, who plays Taylor Hayes. While viewers have been known to be passionate about their favorite characters, sometimes it goes a bit far. The half-hour soap is taking steps to protect their own.

It probably isn’t surprising to know there are fan wars over characters — every soap has them, and with the triangle between Allen’s Taylor, Thorsten Kaye’s Ridge Forrester, and Katherine Kelly Lang’s Brooke Logan Forrester, there are many factions who root for their favorite to come out on top. While lots can be said about the characters, the actors shouldn’t be brought into it. Recently, Allen shared a video on Twitter, that you can see below, about someone’s futile attempt to put out a fire — and how they felt it was similar to trying to stop Taylor bashing from Brooke fans.

Allen wrote above the video, “I got this!!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣,” which must have started a flood of fans showing her evidence of Taylor bashing because the actress later replied to her own tweet saying, “Thank you to everyone who sent me screenshots! I’ve passed it on, and Bold is taking it very serious. They don’t want any of us to be bullied on our official pages through our ‘character’ ❤️ We had no idea! So, this might be the start of a happier FB and IG experience for all!”

While it is unclear how the show plans to make this happen, it will certainly be a welcome move that Soap Hub can imagine actors from other shows hope will catch on. While most soap viewers know that actors are simply doing their job each day, bringing their characters to life for us to enjoy as entertainment, they did not sign up to be cyber bullied or any other kind of bullied. Here’s hoping calmer heads will prevail.
