On Monday’s The Bold and the Beautiful episode, Eric suddenly became wistful, yet serious when he spoke with Ridge about his trip to the other side of the veil — seeing loved ones on the other side and how it affected him greatly. Ridge listened, seemingly stunned. But Eric had even more to tell him.
A Little Bit of Heaven
Eric (John McCook) took a trip to the other side when he was seemingly dying in the hospital. During his time out of his body, he saw Stephanie (Susan Flannery) and, apparently, others he loved there. He felt an overwhelming feeling of pure love while he was there, and it got him thinking.
He told Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) that he wanted to bring that feeling of love and peace to this side. He wants to do this for the rest of his life, dedicating himself to making those in his life feel loved and to know that incredible peace in their heart.

So what does this mean exactly? Will Eric be full of this incredible feeling when he sees some people who challenge him? Are we to expect Eric to have nothing but love in his heart the next time he goes to Il Giardino and gets seated by hostess Sheila (Kimberlin Brown)? If he sees her squaring off with Li (Naomi Matsuda), will he try to play peacemaker?
What about RJ (Joshua Hoffman) and Zende (Delon de Metz) fighting over who has more of a right to design at Forrester Creations — or have Luna’s (Lisa Yamada) heart? Will Eric remain neutral and heart-centered if his grandsons go at each other in front of him? We applaud Eric’s desire. We just don’t hold out a lot of hope of his new attitude having much staying power. But it will be fun to watch him try.
