Fans are eagerly anticipating CBS’ new soap opera, Beyond the Gates. It joins the network’s other shows The Bold and the Beautiful and The Young and the Restless, and the coolest part is that modern viewers will be on the ground floor as the show launches. To help viewers find out more about their soaps, CBS has implemented a cool feature on a new website.

Feeding the Soap Need

CBS has a fun new fan website dedicated to helping fans get into a really soapy mood. The web page has publicity shots of characters from each of the three soaps atop it, followed by the headline, “Ready To Get Soapier?” The fans are then tantalized with more soapy puns with the statement, “Do you live for the drama, romance, and all the fizzy, fabulous fun of your favorite soaps? Well, get ready to lather up the excitement because you can be part of our CBS Soapy Fanbase!”

The viewers are then treated to exactly what they’ll get when they sign up: “Dive into behind-the-scenes sneak peeks, exclusive moments with your fave stars, super fun contests, and much, much more. It’s like a luxurious bubble bath for your soul but with way more drama, gossip, and glitter!” The network then wastes no time in urging viewers to join with, “So, what are you waiting for? Sign up today and let’s get soapy!” (Find out about the classic B&B episodes that are currently re-airing.)

Wash Away Your Troubles

Once a viewer signs up to receive the newsletter, they’re redirected to a landing page that has links for Paramount+ as well as one to invite your friends to join. Soap operas are a fun place where folks can leave their troubles behind and live vicariously through characters whose problems make fans’ problems seem insignificant.

Whether one wants to catch up on the ruthlessness of Y&R’s Victor (Eric Braeden) and Jack (Peter Bergman), the schemes of Sheila (Kimberlin Brown) or Hope (Annika Noelle) on B&B, or just excited to check out BTG, everything a fan could want is there.

In promoting their soaps, CBS wrote on Instagram, “Turn it up! CBS Daytime is flirtier, dirtier, sexier, riskier… SOAPIER!” with many of the followers’ sentiment being summed up in the comment, “As a lifelong fan of American soaps, I am excited about the new show! Can’t wait for the premiere. Congratulations.” (Get a sneak peek at BTG.)
