B&B Alumna Maeve Quinlan Suffers Deep Personal Loss

Veteran fans of The Bold and the Beautiful recall Maeve Quinlan as Megan Conley, an executive assistant at Forrester Creations who kept Brooke’s secrets along with performing other duties. Now, Quinlan is sharing news of a deep loss.

Maeve Quinlan: Honors Her Late Mother

“It’s with profound sadness, I announce the passing of my true champion in life, my best friend and my idol,” Quinlan shared on social media regarding the death of her mother, Mary Kevin Quinlan, 99.

“I am beyond shattered, and the thought that she will no longer be here to grace us with her elegance, her wit, her blunt advice, and her sass is something that will leave a hole in my heart forever,” the actress continued. “No matter how long I live or who I meet, I will never know a better human or a shinier light. May my gorgeous Mother rest in peace now and forever with God.”

Quinlan received support from her daytime pals. “Sending you so much love,” posted Lauralee Bell (Christine, The Young and the Restless). “I’m so sorry!”

“Dear Maeve, my heart is with you, and the memory of your mother is a real blessing to so many,” posted Dan McVicar (ex-Clarke). “Lots of love and big hugs.”

“Oh, Maeve, I’m so sorry,” shared B&B producer/director Cindy Popp. “What a beautiful Mother. I loved all the wonderful stories you’ve shared. Her light lives on in you. Big hug.”

Maeve Quinlan Remembers Her Mom

Like many people had to do over the last few years, Quinlan socially distanced herself from her mother during the pandemic. She shared news of an emotional reunion in June of 2020.

Last December, Mary celebrated her 99th birthday. She was the beloved wife of the late Donald M.D. In addition to her daughter Maeve (Derek), she is survived by children David (Patricia) and Donal; grandchildren Kevin (Elaine), Niamh (Sam), Daniel, Sophie, and Jack; and great-grandchildren Hugo, Lukie, Pia, Kelly, and Max.
